Very New to this, just loaded Ver. MX 6.1

But in itself I don't see that as a reason to buy the upgrade, unless you're going to use it more than occasionally. As someone who develops websites I wouldn't be without 7, but then I use it every day and it saves me hours over the week.
Where macromedia have significantly improved studio MX 2004 is Flash, and there are 2 versions available (pro being the more 'comprehensive' of the 2) This might have a steeper learning curve for you, I don't know how familiar you are with ActionScript etc...
I don't do much with flash, but you could look to <u>www.flzone.net/</u> to see what opinion is.
