What's the advantage of using the one supplied through dmxzone.com rather than a free one such as htmlarea o fckeditor which seem to have several more features for free?

Well there are many. The most important advantage of buying extensions is your developing time. If you spend more hours developping and intergrating some features yourself by handcode you probably are a mega coder or have to much time (or get well paid for your project). If you buy an extension from DMXZone you will be click and running in now time.

And, of course, all DMXZone components can work with each other and perfect with Dreamweaver. So easlily add it to your datasource and upload files, size files etc.

I understand what you are saying but 'htmlarea' is just a downloadable file which you bung into the page - as easy as downloading an extension and installing it... features are free, loads of plugins such as a file uploader which is very cheap..
