I am trying setup shopping cart on my site, I am quite confuse about the basket, is there any tutorial on how to create a basket? So that I can get an idea, where to start with.

I've customized the cart to do what I'm wanting to do but I need to be able to add products to the cart from a link. I guess I'll have to build a redirect page that adds it but don't know how. Can someone help me with this, would be greatly appreciated.
