I run a website for a musical instrument wholesaler and currently have a facility to find a retailer in a specific area. At the moment you have 2 ways to find one you can either browse through all the retailers in name order or you can pick your county and see all the shops in that county.
What I want to do is provide a facility where someone can enter there postcode and the page show the nearest shop to that postcode and how far it is.
I don't know how to go about this. Is there an extension or an easy way to do this? or do I have to contact the post office for their postcode database and learn alot of .asp to hand code it?
At the moment I use Dreamweaver Ultradev 4 linked to a Microsoft Access 2000 database in XP. However this will be a very important part of the website so am prepared to change any aspect to do this.
