If you place a table on your page and set the width to 100% and place the page content inside this table, the page will be automatically resized to 100% of the browser window. This means, no matter what resolution the client has his monitor or bworswer window set to it will fill the whole width of the page.

or if you wish to have an exact pixel size use "fixed width" tables or divs.

set for example at 700px wide, it will stay as 700px wide no matter what size screen or res its viewed in.

but my example and vince's both have their good and bad sides.
