OS X 10.3 & DWMX 6.1 or MX 2004 MySQL Problem

I have recently upgraded my system software to OS X 10.3 (Panther) and now DWMX 6.1 and DWMX 2004 both crash when trying to access or setup a MySQL connection. Subsequently I've had to go back to DWMX 6.0 which also means some of the newer Behaviours won't work! Is anyone else having similar problems?
