I need some advice on how to handle somthing, and I want it to work like this:
After a logon, the user would go to a page to select a specific site and then pass that variable to a page or some object like a navigation bar. What I want to accomplish is to be able to click on any link in the navigation bar at any time and it use the original variable to query the db.

I have seen this done, but I can't tell if they are using frames, or some other method.
