Hello,

Is there any way for modifications made to a pop-up menu to automatically take effect site-wide (i.e. on all pages containing the menu)?

(I'm a novice and working on an old site, so don't laugh too hard please!) I've created a pop-up menu with Dreamweaver MX's pop-up menu tool and added it to about 40 pages. The problem is, whenever I modify the menu, either to add a new item, change a link, etc., I need to modify the menu manually on EVERY page. This is really time-consuming and I keep thinking that I must be missing something. I'm working on a basic site, so no frames or templates. Can someone help me please? Is there any way around this problem?

Many, many thanks!

Léa

use an "include" file.

or an external javascript file, depending on how your doing it.

I have been trying to do something similar.

I am trying to create a template for a new site. The template needs to have both pop up menus and rollovers. Apparently you cant have js in a template if I understand correctly. I tried linking to an external js file. That was the first time ive done that and it just doesnt work. When I test the site locally, I look in the activity window of my browser and notice that the js file has been called downloaded, but it just does not function. Any help will be much appreciated.
