I have custom 404 pages on my server and they have always worked fine, a problem I have come across though is if you enter a url that is incorrect but it is actually the name of an existing directory my 404 pages will not be shown and the site will not default to the index.php page within the folder.

For example I have www.mysite.com/forum/ with my forum inside but if you type www.mysite.com/forum without the forward slash the standard windows 404 page comes up.

Anyone know how I can correct this/what I need to change?
