I was putting off buying DMX2004 because of the crazy fiasco i had when i upgraded to DMX last year and none of my server behaviors or templates worked. I recently went along to a Macromedia seminar and the 'presentation' sold the upgrade to me so I cautiously bought it.Having installed the upgrade onto my Windows pc, I have to say that after a week of serious use, I'm having no problems worth talking about. Everything works as it did before........only better!! The insert menu moves around a little unpredictably between shutdown and reopening DMX but other than that it all seems fine to me.
I read so much in this and other forums about negative stuff about the upgrade and i was pooping at making the leap. Maybe I'm one of the few that has had no problems, maybe my machine is set up just right.....I dunno, but it's all good!!! I'm work on a lot of heavy asp sites with big recordsets and conditional items and they all open up faster than before............so my productivity is up ...slightly, maybe i get more time for coffee breaks as a result.
Thought it would be cool to see some positive feedback for DMX2004

You bet- great to hear MX 2004 is working well for you! Have you reported that particular glitch you've mentioned to the product team yet? If not you can do so here:

(great way to make sure the team hears about these sorts of things...)
Best!

Scott,
I sent the bug report in. It's not actually the 'insert bar' as I said, its below that where you've got the CODE/SPLIT/DESIGN & TITLE stuff etc. It just doesn't seem to stay where I put it from doc to doc or work session! I like my tools to be where I left them last.
Thanks

I loaded 2004 last week after much delibration, I tried it for a few hours but feel happer with mx, I will wait for all the bug fixes in MX2004, One think I did note with MX2004 was the insert bar only shows the icons and it does not allow you to have the icons and text, this I found a big pain as sometimes it is hard to tell by icons alone as to what an object does.
