Have the software ask the user if they would like the DWUD review the current site which was written in an earlier verson and ask if they would like the program to update all pages/code to the new version.

I would like to see a better interface on the reference panel. It seems that if a search turns up more than one response, dw should ask you which one is correct, let you select one and then show that one!

Java support for extension developers. Very few can wrap their brain around C, this should not be such an issue now that Allaire has come into the mix. Please, please, please!!! Otherwise 'Netbeans.org' is going to start changing minds and taking away market share, hhhmmmmmm, that would suck or would it.
Open up that huge Java API to extension developers and you'll see DW take on a whole new genre.

A couple of things:
- PHP / MySQL!
- SFTP (SSH Secure FTP)
- More stable FTP
- CVS support
- Staging server support
- Better source formatting
- Homesite like code editor
- Full preview of CSS1 & 2
- JavaScript DOM viewer
- Better integration with FW to simply generate images with formatted text from within the design view (not like that unusable Flash text thing). Also text generated this way should stay editable within DW.

Give me NESTED REPEAT REGIONS!!!!!!!!!!! You know all ov you want this too. It's just the best thing that could happen with all of this. Also, maybe having a SQL query executed using data from another query in the same page, inside of a repeated region, or something like that. Mmmm'kay?

As a teacher who teaches UltraDev I would like the ability to edit the advanced sql of the recordset through the "simple style" dialogue box.
How about a plain sql query builder outside of the recordset dialog box.
Live data in the Mac Workspace too!!

A global site list so that more than one person can access the list of sites. In the office environment that I work in we all access the same sites but we all have to have the site lists located on each of our machines. When we get a new machine we have to recreate the site list again. The site export extension sucks bad and doesn't allow for saving any of the important site data.
The whole way that Sites work should be redone completely. No data should be stored in the registry at all. There should be a file that has all of the site locations and another file that has all of the user/passwd info. DW should allow you to bowse to the site list file so that multiple people can share the file over a network.

In Dreamweaver, full support for CSS1&2, with preview in the layout window, plus a non modal method of applying it which would instantly update the layout.
An easy way of previewing any file in a frame. I'm a newbie, so if there is way of doing this (without editing the frameset code) already I'd like to know what it is

<font face='Verdana'>Ok, since starting this thread I am overwhelmed that so many people have taken the time to contribute.
I have another request. It would be so useful to have a SCRIPT OUTLINE WINDOW. This would be similar to Visual Interdev's script outline window. I don't know how many times while designing that I have had to click on each control (object) such as form objects just to see what the heck I called it. I know that in proper design I would have documented this and followed the that. But in RAD and just messing with ideas which I do alot I normally build a skeleton first based on an idea then before I go any further I capture that in a document. Hence this is where the problem lies. I have to click on each object rather than looking at a script outline window.
MM team please hear my cry!
Thanks everyone who've posted or read this thread so far.

Amiga OS 3.9 version, with a standalone Amiga CF to boot with it.
Saw this at my computer dealer last week and it wiped the floor with ALL windows based systems...and it wasn't even a 1GHZ CPU powering it, it runs on a Linux system and would be lightning fast on my 1200MHz Athlon.
I've always hated DOS boxes and since i was forced to buy a winbox, it gave me nothing but grievances. My trusty Amy still sits besides, and towers above, the mini tower pc thingy.
I was really happy to see that the system requirements were met in my current system.
Ashame that I don't know of any Amiga webservers, yet...

To build on this, it would be really usefull to have multiple servers in a pull-down menu with a ADD button besides it <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
Handy if you have a seperate TEST and LIVE server, as i do...
