Hi,

I understand in order for Flash to communicate with a database, you need to use server-side application such as ASP, PHP, ColdFusion, Java, CGI.

Can anyone provide me with some details as to the advantages and disadvantages of implementing these various applications with flash.

I propose to create a prototype encyclopedia and allow the user to have access to automated updates.

Also does anyone know the best/ most effective way to do this using the above applications?
