I have another complaint about that CSS window - why does it just throw stuff up in the order it happens to be in the CSS file? Why not make it alphabetic at least, which would have the side effect of separating out tag changes and class definitions as well as making it easy to find something.

Having to hunt for a specific style in that window does even more to render it useless in day to day work.

... I wish I knew how to get onto the beta testing group for Dreamweaver so I could raise this issues at a point where something could be done about it!

I can't recall exactly, but do remember this was debated with several beta users and people generally wanted to see things in the same order to make it easier (organizationally-speaking) to jump between the CSS file and the CSS panel. Personally it helps me- I prefer to order things directly in the CSS file. However, it wouldn't be too shabby to also alow the CSS panel to sort alphabetically/etc.

Definitely log your opinion via the wishform, so it gets considered down the road (I have no pull with the beta lists, sorry):

thanks Scott, I'll raise this on the wishform.

It seems to me that there have been many changes in DWMX2004 which are supportive to those designing brand new sites at the expense of those who are concerned with maintaining and developing existing sites.

To my mind one of the greatest strengths of DW has always been its site management facilities, but these have taken a backward step in the latest version, sadly.
