I'm creating a site using DW MX 6.1 on Mac OS X.

We created dropdown menus in FW and they look fine with IE 5.2 on Mac, but IE on Windows, they go behind the flash movie on the home page.

Any way to fix this? Thanks.

Tim,

I'm also aware of this issue, the only way i fixed this is to make sure the Flash doesn't go anywhere near the FW menu. Kinda silly but i didn't find any better way to fix it still. The problem is the overlapping of the FW scripting ontop of the flash, and IE doesn't like that much. Strange it does work on IE 5. for MAC, but while i have had the luck on looking on a MAC a few times, it seems that browser is a bit different then on Windows <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle> Wish they could do better but it's previous version was worse anyways!

If i got some time to find a fix and find something, ill let you know.

I think this might fix the problem, im going to try convert it all into CSS, should be more clean as code as well. Do think that FW code looks very darn messy.

Hi

Yeh I had this problem before, turns out flash always uses the upper most layer so I had to resort to a workaround....

Thanks to all. Here's where I found "the answer":

www.macromedia.com/support/flash/ts/documents/wmode.htm

Very easy to do in DW or w/hand coding

Phew!
