Dear All

hi all - new here .<img src=../images/fwzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=../images/fwzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

I have a problem doing animations in Fireworks MX. It should be a simple problem to solve (I hope).

I have tried to do a test animation - all it does is set a blue ball moving accross the screen, stops when it hits a red ball and the red ball continues ... see should not be too difficult !!! ?!!

Well I animate the first blue ball with no problems at all over 10 frames. Now what I then do (which I think is wrong) is go to the 10th frame and then try to do an animation on the red ball (as I did on the blue first time around) {I'm selecting animate etc and just entering the desired values) ...

The problem is the result is that each animation starts at the same time ... ie as the first ball (blue) sets off, so does the other red ball. It seems to think I want to animate them at the same time !!!

So, what do I need to do to have one animation from say frames 1-10 and then a new different animation starting from that point onwards ... ?

I'm sure layers comes into this somewhere - but this is driving me nuts !

Any help would be greatfully received !

thanks

Mark
