Hi yea,
Maybe you have the server using NTFS and the errors you are getting are due to IIS permissions, I had the same proble last week using IIS on XP PRO and it took me ages to work out how to configure the permissions. good luck.

Can I ask one question? Why are you developing web sites on a Server?

Ok,

But to upload your website to a server so that other people can see it, you don't need to install DWMX. All you need is IIS.

The question here is why are you developing the website on a server? The could probably be a million complications when using certain applications on server OS machines, all stemming from the fact that they have not been coded to run on certain operating systems.

Simply run DWMX on a Windows XP / Windows 98 machine and then upload the files to the server!

I think they're a bit of confusion here between developing a site and actually running it on an application server....

Man. This is getting confusing now. There is only one machine here- and it only has Windows Server 2003. There is only on program (DWMX) and it does not work.

That is all.

Hi

I thought the question was about running DMX on Windows Server 2003, not why are you developing on a server. I have used Windows 2000 Server as an enterprise develpment platform on my laptop for a couple of years without any problems. The question of running DMX on Windows 2003 Server is valid as far as amarkovic and others are concerned. I too am hoping to move to 2003 pretty soon, so please keep us updated if you find the solution.

Maybe ask Macromedia the question, I have heard of people running DMX on Server 2003 without issues.
