Hi, I am using Smart Image Processor with the ASP.NET component. Everything works with two exceptions.First, the resized JPGs look horribly compressed. Here is a comparison:
SIP generated JPG at 100% quality:
www.iomagic.com/test/uploads/MediaStation3d_SIP.jpg
The same image resized using another image editor at 100% quality:
www.iomagic.com/test/uploads/MediaStation3d.jpg
Second, and I have seen others with this problem, but I have seen no answers; the extension will only resize JPGs, any other image type will not resize for me.
Any fixes out there for me, I have tried my best to solve these issues myself.
Thanks, Justin

The best solution would be using one of the image components, one of them is included with the Smart Image Processor.
I have no idea why people do get different results with ASP.NET, maybe it are differences in the version of ASP.NET. We trying to figure this out and get it fixed.

I have noticed the same thing in .net. Even at the highest quality setting(100) there is bad compression. Is there a way to omit compression but still keep resizing?
thanks.
thanks.
