Hi guys and gals

Just interested in your standpoints on the number of mysql database's you would set up. Say you had your main site, and a forum and maybe a few other scripts would you place then all into one database or would you have a seperate database for apps that don't link together, ie. keep the forum in one on it's own.

Basically what would you realistically do and what would you ideally do.

i would personally spearate the forum from the main site, because forums have much higher traffic and could cause a crash.
