All of a sudden every file I download and save from the inter to my computer gets the php extension added to it. Don't know what it s how to open it or anythin. I have windows xp professional. The files I download are .exe files and they get .php added after I donload them . Whterher I want them to or not. What the heck is going on????

Does the file name stay the same and only the extension changes from *.exe to *.php? What site(s) are you downloading from. Often this is a result of the website you are downloading from has reached its maximum bandwidth for that month (or even for a specific file) so instead of allowing everyone and their dog to download a huge file, they send down a smaller 3KB file or something. Have a look at the file sizes of the files you've downloaded...are they big or small...what happens if you manually change the extension from *.php back to *.exe.
