Hi,
I hate to even ask this question because im sure I will sound like a blooming idiot, but what is the purpose of drawing a table in a table?

Thanks for your reply. I guess I was kind of wondering what reason there is for putting a table in a table. Would this be so you could put text in with a picture or have a bigger border around a picture etc?

jill -- check out dmx's Dreamweaver forum ... thread "i really need some help here" -- there's at least one reason to use nested tables in the discussion. - lc

Nested tables help you keep the integrity of a table inside another table- some tables are used as layout "containers" and some are used to hold data tables, images etc. If you're using dynamic repeated regions then nested tables become very useful.
