Hey

For some reason (stupidity) i created one of my date fields in my database as varchar instead of date... 25,000 records later i need to correct the mistake and i have no idea how to do it. If i change the datatype MySQL automatically destroys the dates as it tries to rearrange from the current DD-MM-YYYY format to its standard YYYY-MM-DD.

Does anyone have any ideas how i can somehow change the datatype of these fields and still keep the dates meaningful?

I'm running MySQL 4.01

Thanks!
