Here is my objective:

Using both flash MX and PHP; to create a mailing list that people can subscribe to at your site using a front end swf file. that sends the info to a backend server side script in PHP that takes the info using CHMOD and inputs it into a txt file. ,forming a data base for all of the subscribers.

The second part is to create a Flash interface (password protected) that will display all the info in the database (txt. file) giving the logged in user the ability to: add name/email, delete name/email, send mail to specific name/emails, and or to send emails to all of the name/emails in the database (txt. file)
I would guess that this would also require another backend PHP page to retrieve and edit the txt. file (database).

I am very fluent in Flash MX but not in PHP.
