Hi..

I'm developing a web site that is my biggest project so far. I did the ultimate rookie mistake by starting a project without completely planning before-hand. <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> I would like to hear your suggestions/comments concerning if I'm on the right track or should take another route.

I started the site in ASP (vbscript) and MS Access. After a previous question that I posted on dmxzone, I decided to switch to mySQL (windows platform). I wasn't sure if I could figure out mySQL because I'm completely new to it but after reading several tutorials, I have somewhat figured it out.

There is basically two parts to my site. 1) to find vehicles that are for sale and 2) a message board to post about vehicles. To post messages in the MB, you have to be a member. To search for vehicles, you don't have to be a member, but to use some of the tools like auto-email notifications, you must be a member and logged in. Now, I don't know if I should have one database for both parts or split them somehow but use the same login info.

ANy suggestions are welcomed. Thanks.
