I bought the Smart Image Component, but when I test this online I get this error:

SMART IMAGE PROCESSOR ERROR: Can not detect and Server Components. Please install at least the supplied server component.

Of course I read the tutorial and checked with the 'detect' page if any server components are installed on my server. it seems none. But how do I install one. Can I do this myself or is this a job for my provider?

You need to contact your provider to install a component. You can use the component that comes with the Smart Image Processor for your own server to test.

Thanks for your reply. However my provider (Tiscali) isn't doing it. I talked to them but they refuse to install this on my site. Is this normal. Or is their another way to still use the Smart Image extension?

Smart Image Processor works with the following server components: AspJpeg, AspImage, AspSmart, ImgWriter, AspThumb and ASP.NET
Ask if they have at least one of these installed on their server and available to you.
