Hi allDoes anyone know the best way to connect to a database that is hosted locally from a website within dreamweaver. Normally we do this through the webhost who set up the connection. However the website must be synchronised with the local db at all times and we thought the best way to do this was to use the local db as the data source.
Any info on this would be much appreciated.
Andrew

is the website remotely hosted?
if so, you need to point the connection to a static IP to your local database server. or you could host the website locally too and just use localhost.

In your opinion do you think it is better to host the database locally or remotly? If we had 2 databases one remote and one local is there a way to synchronise them?
Thanks for your help
