Hi,

I'm very new to web design and am trying to setup a template for my website.
The problem is that I have a banner across the top of my page in a table row and a left hand menu bar is another row with 2 cells, one for the menu and one for the picture.
The menu cell is split into two cells and continues the banner down the left handside of the page. The 2 cells background colours are the same as the banner and hopefullt the need to not load abother graphic.
Hence, the 2 cells won't keep the size it set to them and then when I preview the page it looks off (i.e. the menu bar doesn't line up with the banner). Also the exact same 2 cells appear on the extreme right in another cell which isn't in my template. very confusing.
Vey confusing for a beginner.
Any help please...
