In a current project, we are handling all javascript functions by linking to a specific .js file rather than embedding scripts in each page. Is there a way to configure DWMX to support this? Something like the linked CSS functionality maybe?
Thanks for your input.

Dreamweaver acknowledges the linked JS file in the sense that it sees which JS functions are in that external file. So it won't add functions to your page that are already in the external JS file.
However, it won't add functions to that file automatically. If needed, DW will just add more functions directly to the page.
You will have to move them to the external file manually, or use a tool to do that for you. I believe there is an extension by Paul Boon for that here at DMXzone somewhere (called something like "Hotswap JS"
.
Hope this helps.
