Not seen any postings about this before - having a problem with Alternate Text for images. Dreamweaver MX insists on displaying the name of the image source file instead.

Any solutions?

have you specified an alt text for the images? if the alt attirbute is blank it will display the filename.

Tried just about everything but after entering the alt text it still reverts to using the source file name even after the page has been saved. Have also checked in Preferences but nothing in there indicates what the problem might be. May just have to accept that I've got a duff copy or may have to reinstall.

I have never seen this problem in DW, only in Frontpage... Were your pages originally coded in Frontpage?

No. All pages were created in Dreamweaver MX. One other clue to the problem - when I try to highlight any text in the Alt Text field, the cursor doesn't always pick up the text at the first attempt.
