I'm trying to create a helpdesk system for customer service/support. The system is meant for internal users to record information while on the phone assisting customers. I'm very confused on how to appoarch this important part of my project. I want a user to be able to add a record and be able to add updates to that record. I dont want however, for another user to be able to delete information that he didn't add to the records. In other words, I want only the originator of the data to be able to remove their own data. I still want other users to be able to add their own data to that same record. I'm not sure how to prevent one user from manipulating data that they didn't create.

Please give me assistance on where to start. If you have other ideas on how to tackle this issue, please state it.

Are you using the DMX "Authenticate User?"
If so you can just use the session variable which i believe is MM_Username.
