I'm using Dreamweaver MX to edit my own web pages which are usually in Arabic language and because Arabic Language direction is right-to-left There seem to be a problem when I try to edit Arabic text. The actual problem starts when I try to mark (select) a part of the text.. in the view it seems to be marking the part I wanted but actually it's not so when I change the text it will replace another part.
The picture below the Code-Design view shows the problem:

As in picture, I'm trying to mark (select) the word number 2 (in Design View), where it actually marking the word number 3 (in Code View).
The same happens when I try to mark in Code View.
Is there any idea how to fix this problem? I guess it's just because Dreamweaver edit controls don't support bidi text.

Wrt your problem of selecting a single word and then modifying (overtyping) it, I checked at our MacroMedia rep, and she said that there is such a problem. You have to just prepare the whole paragraph (line?) in Word and then copy paste it into DreamWeaver in design mode.
Yes, it doesn't do bidi very well, although this is what everybody uses.
Btw, with the latest version, DreamWeaver v8, that problem has been cleared up,
BUT...now you can't type in RTL text from right to left. The letters go in the corerct direction (RTL) but the words come out opposite...!
There is always something wrong. <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
