Hello. Im kinda new to this whole MySQL Database thing. Im not unfamiliar with databases in general, just this language in Dreamweaver.

What Im TRYING to do is set up a database that runs from my local mahine, and thats it. I dont want to upload it to any server, I just want to run it locally. I know that this is possible with DW MX. However, whenever I try to set up a database it keeps telling me to "set up the test server" and then says all this crap about how its not working. If anyone can provide any assistance, I would be most grateful. My current OS is WIN98SE, in case that matters.

OKay, let me explain in a little more detail exactly whats going on. Maybe that will help. I have created the record set and document types and selected the server technology already, etc, etc. I have specified where on the hard drive the files are located. I want to make this database available from my hard drive so that I can run it locally while I am offline, however I can not seem to be able to configure the URL address properly to do so. I have already tried copying the file location into this field, but it doesnt work. ANy help please?
