This is possibly a basic question with an obvious answer.I'm putting together a members database and have a login page to authenticate members. I've also got a signup page which inserts their details into the members table. The table has a userid field which is unique and sequentially numbered. I also have a field containing their chosen username.
How can I check, upon their submitting the form, that the username they've chosen doesn't already exist and if it does, take them back to the form with a note asking them to try another?
Many thanks in anticipation
Jon

there is a server behaviour (i think it comes with Phakt) that allows you to "check new username" and do exactly what you need.
