Hi

We've just moved to OSX and now our copy of Fireworks MX won't allow you to pick a color from the canvas using the eye dropper! The popup menu with the color swatches appears but refuses to disappear when you click a color. Help! Without using the swatch panel I've got absolutely no way of selecting colors.

Has anyone else had a problem like this?? Any ideas?

I have seen odd behavior with OSX when a particular folder has restrictive permissions- for example, if you dont have write priveliges to the folder where a given application resides, and you are running that application.

Another cause could be a "damaged" user profile.

The two things you could do to eliminate these as possibilities are:

1. Get Info on the fireworks folder, and subfolders/files make sure you have write priveliges.
2. Create another user with full admin access, log in as that user, and attempt to reproduce the problem.

If you determine that the problem is related to the permissions, and you cannot change the permissions you may need to log in as root.

Hope that helps
