So I'm using the Phakt extension for php and all is good except it doesn't include a behaviour for Checking new username against a database.

I understand that basically I need to compare the enetered field against the existing MySQL database, but not sure just were to insert said code, and exactly what to use.

As far as i know, Phakt <i>does</i> include a behaviour to check new usernames... amazingly, it's called "Check new Username" <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

if you don't have it, you may want to upgrade your version of Phkat?

I actually just received and update message, and updated to PHAKT 2.2 and still it does not have Check New Username.

ah-

are you using phakt for DWMX? i wouldn't know, i'm still using UD4, and reasons like this is precisely why i haven't moved over to the MX world... i think there's too many unfinished bits still.

BINGO!

I'm guessing InterAKT's reasoning is that they want to sell the commecial version, but it's one behaviour short of true usefullness.
