Hi everyone! I have been sitting in my chair for a while thinking about a new project to create. I was thinking of making a Windows Explorer "like" application to Upload/Download/Delete files on a web server. I've discovered a component called aspupload.exe which I already use for uploading files.

Basically, I'm looking for tutorials on how to start. I imagine this will most likely be a huge program.. (atleast for myself! heheeh)

If anyone has any ideas on where/how I can start, please let me know!

Thanks a lot!

Tony

actually, this should be fairly simple to do...the only thing that might be a little difficult is getting an OLE drag-and-drop thing going...

let me know if you have any specific questions.

well, I was hoping maybe you know of a tutorial that I may read to get started. I'm not a beginner in ASP but I've learned whatever I know so far by myself - so my knowledge is limited! <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

I've made a nice site from which I learned most of my asp, if you'd like to see it:
www.pcinfocomputers.com

But, the problem is, I don't know how to start - let alone using OLE! <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> heh. I don't know how to check a specified folder and grab the list of files and display them in an .asp page.

See, if I start this project without some sort tutorial, then I will be asking you a question every 2 minutes! <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

snif snif..
