Having become frustrated with the shortcomings of the editors I have been using for the past couple of years, I have just started to use Dreamweaver MX as my preferred editor for 'classic' ASP pages. What surprises me is that the tag library does not contain any ASP/VBSCRIPT objects, whereas tags for PHP/ASP.NET/CFM etc... are provided. I know the most common objects are on the insert bar, but I would have expected a quick means of inserting common VBSCRIPT commands. Does anyone know if they are available as an add-on or will I have to manually build the library myself ? Replies

I noticed this today, wanted to quickly build a ASP/VB page set to update and search My collectable Card Games. I could only manage to get ASP/Jscript <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>
I will call MM tomorrow, ask them what's up with that.
Took me so long to notice cause i kept playing with ColdFusion <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I noticed that I can't Insert an ASP object on a page in my Plain Vanilla Test Site, but I can do it in my ASP/VBSCRIPT DataBase Test Site.
So, just create your page in a site defined as ASP/VBSCRIPT, and you should be able to save it in any other site.
