CSS Styles Sheets in Dreamweaver MX

So I am a newbie...I know how to do a lot because I have been taking a course online as well as reading everything I can get my hands on etc. What I do not understand is when I am opening a new document and I choose CSS Style sheets in the category list the document opens in Code view and I can not see how to change it so I have both views??? A style sheet is always in opened in code.
You can use the CSS style builder that MX has by clicking on the Design menu and selecting the CSS tab and create a new style sheet that way.
Then create a document (html, asp etc) and attach the style sheet to it (works like an include file) and all the style options will be given to that page.
