I am working with Fireworks MX & Dreamweaver MX on a Win2000 system. I recently created a number of graphics in Fireworks which I then exported as PNG 8, WebSnap Adaptive palette, 16 color PNG's. When I place them in a Dreamweaver html page they appear completely, distorted and mostly black in color. There was little black in the original. When I preview the page in IE5 though, they look correct. If I do the same in Photoshop 7 however, they look as they should when placed in my html page in Dreamweaver. Also, in Fireworks, if I export them as PNG 24 or 32 they do look correct. There seems to be a bug in Dreamwaver interpreting PNG 8's from Fireworks. I don't want to use PNG 24 format because of the size increase. Replies

Sorry about that. I am new to the Macromedia community and didn't know that these forums were linked to Macromedia's website forums. Are there any others that I should know about??

That's okay.
But you also posted the same question in the dreamweaver forum at UDzone.
That is what I meant. So just don't post twice within UDzone, you are certainly free to post it on more communities.

Ahh, gotchya. Yeah, I didn't know if this was a DW or FW problem. Thought I'd try both groups and see who had an answer. <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> thanks for the clarifications here.
