Hi! I'm hoping one of you will be smart enough to solve this dilemma...

I have javascript code that reads the "last modified date" of a html file and it works fine in IE but in Netscapeit claims that the last modified date for the same file is 1969 or 1970. This is for a file on a freebie bsd 4.4 server.

I have tried different ways of writing the code and get the same results each time.

oddly enough the same code works (in netscape) on a different server at:
lasers.jpl.nasa.gov

Any ideas?
