Can somebody help me with an update, delete, and upload dilema?I have 3 different pages for updating files, uploading files (with photo),
and deleting files from my Access database.
The pages worked fine when
testing locally but now that I have them STILL defined as a local DSN and
running on MY server i get this error when trying one of the actions:
Error Type:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80004005)
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Operation must use an updateable
query.
/upload_change.asp, line 89
(note: the database connection is working because I can retrieve files OK)
(second note: I have turned off the read only permissions on the datbase)
My ODBC connection is defined as this:
connPearsonBMW, with a path to c:\Inteppub\wwwroot\data_bases\bmw_info.mdb
(local DSN)
Thanks in advance,

Hi Mate,
I had the same problem once and it seemed to be that i wasnt filling in one of the records in the update page. I dont think you can leave a blank feild when you use the update behaviour. This might not help you but it fixed my problem.
sorry i calnt be of more help.
