I have a .php file with some server side includes... and I want to do a Clean Up HTML command... When I do it there are some redundant tags... but I get the following message:

Making this change would require changing code that is locked by a template or a translator. The change will be discarded.

Why is this happening? How can I get around it?

This is apparently a PHP-specific problem. I was unable to duplicate it in VBScript or JavaScript (and I intentionally introduced some clean-up issues in my include files while testing).

You might try commenting out your includes long enough to run the cleanup.
