does anyone know where i can find information on generating images from a particular frame or movie?

InStyle.com has a flash piece that allows the user to upload an image and try different hair styles. when ready, the user can e-mail an image of the result to another person or themselves. i am interested in how they generated the image from within flash. something similar to a printAsBitmap()??

any help would be greatly appreciated.
