Am I the only one who Macromedia will not allow to put asp recorsets in a DWMX template. I had being using include files to generate a dropdown menu for navigation. Which comes from a database table.

Now I want to use just one template and put that recordset in it and a dynamic dropdown to send the user to the different sections but I can't seem to get a recordset setup.

Is there a setting somewhere that i am missing or do I have to change from a .dwt file to an asp. If so, can a template be asp and will it update all pages using it like a normal template.

UD4 had no problems with asp in templates.

I've also got the same problem. It's actually been giving me a headache (my site has 80 asp files with recordsets in it so that should explain). Someone please, please tell us how to work around this mess. It takes me a day to fix one navibutton...
