Hello,I made a fireworks image that has the navigation buttons on the left-hand side and the banner on top all in one image; the rest is transparent. I want to use this image as an include file for webpages, but don't know how to make text be able to appear in the transparent portion. Do I have to cut up these sections into two and then use cells?

there are 2 options that i can think of:
1. Cut the images, and assemble them using table structures, but only do this if yoiu're planning to use image maps or hotspots to link the buttons on the navbar.
2. Set the image as a background non-scrolling no-repeat image (using CSS or JScript). However this will render the image non-interactive and will only serve as a background image.
sorry if you already knew this, i'm just brainstorming. i think option #1 as you suggested is the best way to do it.... do you have a link to the image so i can see it?

Hi Poolio,
I'm trying your first option of putting them in a table, but am running into some problems. I did it both in Frontpage and in Dreamweaver and put them on the site.
Here's the urls;
Frontpage: www.menominee.edu/experimental.htm

ah yes,
you need to set the table borders to 0, and it will get rid of the gaps. alsmo make sure the "Cellpad" and "Cellspace" are both set to 0 in the proerties.
