Hi, I am wondering what kind of database I need to use for ASP websites if the database must handle between 50,000 and 100,000 sets of data? Also it must handle alot of traffic at the same time around 100 gigs per month. I have so far used MS access but somewhat tells me that this is too much for access.

if you are already developing the site with MS Access, the best solution might be to take your database and upgrade it to SQL Server. Access is rated to handle up to 2 gig of data per database, but it usually craps out long before that.

Just joined to apologies for the late answer. I think the previous posting is right. I use a MySQL database for my site hosted at www.easyspace.com I've no probs setting up and you can use MyAccess to migrate tables to and from the online database.

If youre a normal guy without a gazillion bucks to spend on MS licensing, mySQL is definitely the way to go...
