Hi Sparky,
Dreamweaver has a build in feature to upload your pages to the server.
On the toolbaar, click on Site, Edit Site, Remote Info and choose FTP. With your hosting company (if you have one) they have given you a username and password, and which directory to load your site into.
Good luck.

Geocities should have given you an ftp address.
If they did not, you can certainly try Tripod and follow the above directions.

I pulled this off the geoCities help page for FTP. Most hosts (especially geocites that caters to beginning web designers) have pretty good help available in their FAQ's.
Set your FTP client to connect to host: ftp.geocities.com.
Set your user name to your Yahoo!ID.
Set your password to your Yahoo! login password.
Connect to the Yahoo! GeoCities FTP server. You should be presented with a list of the files in your Yahoo! GeoCities directory.
Please be sure that all of the information you type in the fields are in lower case.
Note: You don't need to enter a remote directory because your user name and password will automatically bring you to your root directory.
If you're experiencing problems with FTP, please try using EZ Upload by doing the following:
Sign in to your GeoCities account.
Click the "Upload & FTP" link.
Click the "Browse" button to search for the file that you would like to upload.
After selecting the file, click "Open." (If you have more than one file to upload, go to the next "Browse" button. You can upload up to 20 files at a time with the EZ File Upload utility, but total of all the files you're uploading can't be more than 5MB).
When you're finished selecting all the files you want to upload, click on "Upload Files."
Hope this helps.
