how do you set-up sql server on IIS 5.1 winXP, Preferably free.Im testing my site on my machine before I upload, this includes a php forum which uses sql, the php I sorted but the sql is another matter

The only free solution I know are 120 day trial period evaluations. SQL Server Licenses can run a couple thousand dollars or so. Look into some academic versions if possible if you're not gonna use it to make a profit.

mySQL works fine with IIS under Win2K or XP and you don't need to worry about any compatibility issues if you're using PHP are your app language.
