InterAKT has released the MX generation of it's products PHAkt and NeXTensio

The new MX generation includes "PHAkt 2 MX" the final version (2.0.60) and NeXTensio MX (PHP,ASP and Both - 1.5.1).

Together with the improved software release, the new kits include some other goodies: thorough tutorials and SQL files to get you started with our technology. You can check out the complete version of NeXtensio tutorial in our website articles section.

With this release, InterAKT has migrated all it's Ultradev products to Dreamweaver MX, and we are committing to the MX framework for our future products.

Find out more about PHAkt at www.interakt.ro/products/PHAkt/
Find out more on NeXTensio at www.interakt.ro/products/NeXTensio/

You can still benefit of the 20% reduction for buying NeXTensio until August 5 2002.

Glad to see PHAkt MX is completed, although I'm not quite read to jump to it yet. But I'd like my code to be as ready as possible so I'd like to upgrade from Phakt 1.1.0 to 1.5.1.

Do you have clear instructions on how to do so? The upgrade file that comes with 1.5.1 doesn't clearly say how to upgrade, and actually doesn't even list 1.1.0.

Help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

There is no automatic upgrade path from PHAkt1 to PHAkt2. We have worked a lot to make this happen, but unfortunately we have met way to high obstacles ...

Currently I just want to upgrade from PHAkt 1.1.0 to 1.5.1 !! That's what I'm looking for instructions for. <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

But also now that you mention it... you won't have a migration engine for 1.5.1 to 2??!

Pete why ugrade ?
If you have a sites that were built using Phakt 1.1 and working Ok I don't see why you sould upgarde the sites.

Better to buy PD Configuration Switcher - you can then run different versions of phakt. New sites you can build in 1.5.1.

Ps Phakt 1.51 and Nextensio phew !what a supper tool --- my only regret is that I did use Nextnesio sooner.

Hope this helps you

I was interested in a migration tool as well. I have several sites created with Phakt 1.3 in UltraDev. I want to convert them to 2.0 for DWMX. Is this going to be possible? I was hoping to be able to completely stop using UltraDev, and just use DWMX

Migration tools sound like a good idea in theory, but in practice it is just impossible for them to cope with any combination of standard code and customised code.

At best your custom code will be ignored, at worst it will be totally broken and the time spent in debugging and getting it to work again is about equal to redoing your site.

This is the reality of it.

Hi,

I got errors when I use Insert &gt; Application Objects &gt; Record Update Form &gt; Display As Menu &gt; Menu Property &gt; From Database, then the errors occur:
While executing onClick in ServerObject-UpdRecPHP, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred.

At line 434 of file "C:\...\Configuration\Commands\ServerObject-MenuProps.js": exception throw in native fuction

Where ... is my Dreamweaver MX path.

Do you any idea what I should do? Do you or Macromedia have a patch for this? Thank you.
