Hello,

I have been using recordsets for my Intranet for over a year. All of a sudden, when I open a recordset, the table shows as null.tablename instead of tablename in the Table drop down.

Any help would be appreciated.

Randy

Well, assuming this is an SQL table, the first part of a table name usually showcases dbo (Database Operator) and then the table name (ie dbo.tblUsers) Does the user you've logged in with have:

dbo.owner
dbo.datawriter
dbo.datareader

rights?

Actually, this is an Access 97 database. It never did show the operator before?

Then you don't have to worry about it being users, as that Access97 doesn't support that. Is there by chance any code you've written that may be re-writing the table names?

I just figured it out. We moved the Intranet to a new server. I set everything up and installed MDAC 2.6 . After doing some more research, I read the certain items are not installed in 2.6 that are in 2.5 . I installed the MDAC 2.5 and all is good.

Thank you for your suggestions.

LOL! I've had the same probs with MDAC 2.6. Wow, you just know a LOTTA people got fired with the making of that system component. 2.5 is just so much more stable than 2.6
