I used to work with templates but in Dreamweaver MX templates have an new feature that cause me a lot of problems. Usually when you apply a template to a page it will gives you the options to allocate certain parts on certain areas.

For example it will ask you to choose if the code will go in the HEAD or in the BODY of the page. However, sometimes it doesnt give you any choice and you have to stick it somewhere else.

Anyone have a similar problem/solution...

When i need to use a template base, i usually just create the page, and save it as blank.asp or whatever then add my content and "save as" "newfilename.asp" and just keep on overwriting the same file.

yeah thats what my web design teacher told me but sometimes I think is just me that havent learn to use the tool. Is like using that weird fork for the lobster (or crab).. of course is easier with the hands but sometimes u just wanna know how it works..
